Water Turbidity Sensor
MTW-TU2005 Water Turbidity Sensor is an industrial online optical turbidity probe using optical scattering measurement principle. It is specially designed for water turbidity monitoring in various water environments.
This sensor provides stable and accurate measurement with fast response. It supports standard RS485 MODBUS-RTU communication and optional 4–20mA analog output, enabling seamless connection with PLC, DCS and water quality monitoring systems.
It features automatic temperature compensation, simple calibration, strong anti-interference and IP68 waterproof, anti-fouling structure for long-term online operation.
It is widely used in drinking water, tap water, aquaculture, surface water, river, industrial process water and wastewater treatment.

Core Measurement Principles
• Nephelometry (Scattering): Measures light scattered at a 90° angle to the incident beam. This method is highly sensitive and ideal for low-turbidity water, such as drinking water.
• Absorption/Transmission: Measures the amount of light that passes directly through the sample to a detector on the opposite side. It is best suited for high-turbidity liquids, like wastewater, where scattering is too intense for accurate reading.
• Backscatter: Measures light reflected back toward the source. This is often used for ultra-high turbidity and industrial process control.
